Grammar in Use and Chain Writing(Hyunjoo)

* Textbook/Chapter  : 미래엔 영어3 / Lesson 6. Find Your Passion

* Topic/Lesson Title: Relative adverbs(관계부사) and conjunctive adverbs ‘however’, and ‘thus’ / chain writing

* Learning Objective

  • Students will be able to express memorable experiences using relative adverbs.

  • Students will be able to write a short story using ‘however’, and ‘thus’.


Procedure
<Review>
- Review Quiz about the reading text of Leonardo Da Vinci and grammar points(Relative adverbs, conjunctive adverbs) using Quizizz

<Pre-writing Activity 1>
- Making sentences by unscrambling expressions
  • T shows Ss scrambled expressions on the PPT Slides.

  • Ss complete the sentence on their worksheet.



<Pre-writing Activity 2>
- Send Your Sentence to Slido
  • Ss write their own answers on the worksheet at first.

  • Ss  join Slido and send their sentences.

  • T check the sentences together with Ss on the Slido. (This slido will be available only for a week.)

<Group Work : Chain Writing>

  • T explains how to do Chain Writing.

  • T divides Ss into groups and let Ss join Beecanvas.

  • Ss in a group join Becanvas and write sentences together to make a short story.


Each group will make a story of FOUR sentences.

(Each student will write ONE sentence.)


  • A sentence including ‘Thus’

  • A sentence including ‘However’

  • Two sentences including a relative adverb (how, why, when, where)
