-Last class we learned new words from Lesson 8. Do you remember what are they?


-Here are three objectives in this class. Would you read today’s lesson objectives out loud? Number one..

-I want you to achieve these goals and join the class happily.


- Before reading the text of lesson 8, we are going to review the words and  build the background knowledge.

Activity1

Catch the Words!

(10mins)

-T gives out worksheet 1 and tells Ss what is ‘Catch the Words!’.


-T shows a video clip with some words appearing during playing.

-T checks the answer with students.


-Watch the video clip and fill out the worksheet with Korean meanings of the words appearing in the video. You should pay attention because the words disappear really fast.


-Let’s check the answers together by watching the video clip one more time.

Activity2

In Search of Our History

(15mins)

-T shows a video clip “In Search of Our Lost History - Dr. PARK Byeong-seon”.



-T asks students to answer questions about the video clip in Kahoot!.


-I will show you a video clip. It’s about Dr. Park Byeong-seon. This will make you understand our text more easily.


-How was the video? Was it great? Now, let’s answer questions about this video through Kahoot!.

Activity3

Fill in the blanks!

(10mins)

-T gives out a worksheet to students.

-T explains to students how to do the activity.



-T checks the answers with students.

-Now we have a rough idea about our text.

It’s time to look at the text. When you look at the worksheet, there are some blanks. I will play a recording file of our text, please listen to it and fill in the blanks.

-Let’s check the answers together. Could you read the sentence?
